Did anyone ever considered the use of a slot antenna for panstamp ? There is always a difficult trade-off between radiation/directionality and shielding, and it looks like that could be an interesting way to solve several problems.
I personnally find it strange that you kind of "connect the wires on the box", but if this works like I expect, it could be really great, for example for outside weather monitoring devices. And multiple "slots" could seriously improve reach as well.
